BLANK CONTEST CONCURSO BLANK primer y segundo lugar

Concurso Blank. Primer y segundo lugar
Sofía apuesta por Caracas
We decided to do this contest as a test for our workability as a team. We would have to come up with the design and realisation of this (and another, that got the first spot) entry over the internet, because of our very tight schedules at the time.

Blank estudio, the store that came up with this contest called "Yo Diseño en Venezuela" (I design in Venezuela), wanted the Interior design of a small house for one of three fictional characters they described in one essay for each.

All of them, in one way or another ended up falling (or falling back) in love with the venezuelan culture, and decided to make a house to live in for repeated short periods of time throughout the year. For each character we would have to use a specific brand of fabrics and wallpaper, In this case the french house ÉLITIS.
This is the house, occasional atelier and store for a venezuelan architect that dedicated to fashion design, according to her story she had left the country when she was a child and decided to establish a small home in Caracas where she could come to get inspired by her home town and culture
The ground level have an occasional atelier specially made for fittings and development for early stage Ideas that, along the dressing room, are protected below a big staircase with irregular borders that help display garments and several other products designed by her, while you "walk through the collection" to the middle level, where most of the garments are displayed for shopping, there's another stair in this level that leads to the private house of the designer, with a moving handrail that works the way the security bars at a roller coast do, for preventing shoppers from going to the private space of the designer.
